In an attempt to cut out processed foods and preservatives, it was super important to find a salad dressing that didn’t have a bunch of junk in it. Plus, the premium they make you pay for NATURAL salad dressings that typically taste like someone just cut grass mixed it with some oil and put it in a bottle is basically highway robbery, anyways. So finding a way to make your own was a no-brainer; however, finding one that is easily reproducible with common ingredients isn’t quite as easy. That’s where this gem of a dressing comes in.
There is nothing like knowing that even if you’re out of dressing, within three minutes you can make something completely unprocessed, primal, and DELICIOUS! I mean I don’t really even love salads, but this stuff is bomb….and my three-year-old eats salads with this dressing. I mean that should be enough to convince the most unlikely salad eaters to change their ways and at least give it a try. It’s tangy and zesty and can honestly be tweaked to emphasize the things you like the most about it.
1/2 Cup Avocado Oil
1/3 Cup White Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
1 Tsp Onion Powder
3 Cloves Garlic (finely minced)
2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/8 Tsp Black Pepper
Mix everything in a bottle and pretend it’s a shake weight.
